THE LOGISTICS BUZZ:
Getting the Right Information
Keep checking the GM2010 website for updates – at least weekly. Important news and planning information will be posted there regularly. Read through all e-mails that come to you from the GM team and from your Provincial GM Liaison. As we get closer to camp, details are being finalized and those will be shared with you just as soon as they are confirmed and available.
Core Crew and Tent Trailers
Tent trailers will only be allowed on site for Core Crew accommodations. The site will not however accommodate other travel trailers, 5th wheels, etc. Patrol Guiders will tent with their patrols. Rangers will tent in their own neighborhood on their own site.
Core Crew and Ranger Job Applications
We have specific Core Crew roles that still need to be filled, like security and food services. ONLY If you have registered as Core Crew and have not yet been assigned a specific job, check the GM2010 site and see if any of the positions interest you...
Rangers – please let us know what kind of work you are most interested in so that we can find a good fit for you.
If you have already been interviewed and asked to forward references, and still have not heard if you have been “hired”, please check with your references to see if they did forward the requested information to the GM2010 office.
iMIS (Integrated Membership Information System) is our GGC database. In it, we collect information about members that relate to Girl Guide activities, training, qualifications, etc. The GM2010 team uses iMIS as a resource for information about you, so it is very important that it is up to date.
Water, Water Everywhere
If you are registered for any water activities at GM2010 you will need to complete GGC Swim Test (done by Aquatic personnel) and/or Boat test (done by Aquatic personnel or a registered Member familiar with the type of boating). Many of you may have already done those tests or plan to do those prior to the beginning of camp. Once you have completed your test, make the appropriate signed forms are submitted to your Provincial iMIS Administrator as soon as possible. Let them know your record needs to be updated before June. (see the GM homepage for forms, DO NOT return to Guiding Mosaic)
Great Photo Ops…
….but not if we do not have your image release (IR.1). Another little bit of iMIS housekeeping. If you have not completed an image release from, please do so right away and send it to your iMIS Administrator so they can update your records. (see the GM homepage for forms, DO NOT return to Guiding Mosaic)
